"In this newsletter, excellence of any kind is what we wish to celebrate. In the last issue of Glenn’s Garden Gate, we ran our first in a series recognizing excellence in our fine community; we told you of the quality of the folks from Tree Farmer Sales. In this issue, we are going to celebrate Tom Wagner of Wagner Plumbing & Heating Inc. We have worked closely with Tom and his fine staff on numerous occasions. They are always forthright, honest, dependable, and exceedingly knowledgeable.

One day last summer we needed to shut down supply to the Main Lodge at Ruttger’s Birchmont Lodge. There were many guests staying in the lodge but the problem could not be fixed without interrupting the water supply. It looked as if it would take hours. Tom Wagner to the rescue. With only two hours' notice, he was on the spot and the water only had to be turned off a few minutes. Now that’s service.

Then there was the time a certain friend of ours from the great state of Texas installed our water pump at the shop not only upside down, but backwards to boot. It was the doggonedest mess of pipes you’ve ever seen. It looked more like a decorated Christmas tree than a pump. And we had a nursery full of plants needing water. HELP TOMMMM!!!!

It was fixed that afternoon. He also plumbed Malcolm’s last fountain project — our hats are off to Tom Wagner of Wagner Plumbing. It is one beautifully run organization. Cheers!"
